Renaissance Variety Performers
Your Favorite NPCs (or just NPCs for short, we know we are your favorite) are a multiskilled variety group who can sing, dance, perform circus tricks, do acrobatics, run a show, entertain the lanes, sell tickets, and so much more. Our shows range from PG to 21+ (our specialty) and even non-specific winter holiday!
Non Player Characters
Our goal is to make the patrons and guests feel like the Main Characters. Just like the NPCs in games, we exist to entertain, create a fun atmosphere, and enhance their experience. This is why we are called the NPCs, which obviously stands for "ninety pounds of cheese." Or "nuclear planet collision." Or maybe "naming pandas Carl." I don't know. Honestly, it changes depending on who you ask.
How We Got Started
Mid 2024, the Ohio Renaissance Festival was in need of a new group to help out with their Naughty Bawdy Pub Show. They reached out to two of our founders, Jenna and Ali, and asked if we would be able to create something to fill this gap. As people who had previously worked this show in different capacities, they trusted that we could make it work. And with only two months until opening gate, it was quite the task! We snatched up Meg (the final founder) and made a game plan! The next two months were a whirlwind of auditions, meetings, rehearsals, sewing, crafting, and just a dash of panic. Low and behold, the result was the most popular year of the NBPS ever!
